Elizabeth Peng, one of our founding partners, was born and raised in China. Through intellect and perseverance, she was able to rise from a small village in Hunan to the capital city of Beijing, where she graduated from one of China’s top law schools. In the early 1980s, she won a Ford Foundation scholarship to come to the United States to earn her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in law at the University of Kansas. She worked for major law firms in Kansas City, Washington, D.C., and Seattle before co-founding Peng & Weber in 1992. She understands the American dream, and she knows first-hand the immigrant experience.
